Around the World
1 Minute Prayer for Peace
Every day, at one appointed hour, people across the world stop for a single minute and ask God for peace.
The Story
How This Began
A story is told of the Second World War: in one bombarded city, people agreed to stop whatever they were doing at the same hour each night and pray for peace. Whole neighborhoods fell still at once. They kept the practice every day until the war left them.
In that spirit, people around the world have agreed to give one minute a day, each country at its own hour, praying for the safety of all people and for God to guide the decisions of those who lead us.
Prayer is the best weapon we have; it is the key to God's heart.

Prayer Intentions
What to Pray For
During your one minute of prayer, offer these intentions to God.
World Peace
For an end to all conflict and violence around the world.
Our Leaders
That God guides the decisions of world leaders toward peace and justice.
Safety & Protection
For the safety and protection of all people, especially those in danger.
Families
That families may seek their security, protection, and salvation in God.
If two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
