Opening Prayer
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth.
O God, Who did instruct the hearts of the faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us in the same Spirit to be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
On the Large Beads
Pray the Our Father
On Each of the Seven Small Beads
For each gift, pray one Hail Mary while meditating on that gift:
1. Gift of Wisdom
The gift to see things from God's perspective and judge rightly
Fruit: Detachment from worldly things, desire for heavenly things
2. Gift of Understanding
The gift to comprehend the truths of the faith more deeply
Fruit: Insight into the mysteries of God
3. Gift of Counsel
The gift to know the right course of action in difficult situations
Fruit: Good judgment and prudent decisions
4. Gift of Fortitude
The gift of courage to stand firm in faith despite difficulties
Fruit: Perseverance in virtue and resistance to temptation
5. Gift of Knowledge
The gift to recognize God's plan and our place in it
Fruit: Understanding of creation and its purpose
6. Gift of Piety
The gift of reverence and devotion toward God and holy things
Fruit: Filial love for God as our Father
7. Gift of Fear of the Lord
The gift of awe and wonder before God's majesty
Fruit: Avoidance of sin out of love for God

Closing Prayer
O Holy Spirit, Soul of my soul, I adore You. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I ought to do and command me to do it. I promise to be submissive in everything that You ask of me and to accept all that You permit to happen to me. Only show me what is Your will. Amen.
